April Showers Bring May Flowers

Who would have thought I would EVER post flowers on my journal! HA!

Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!?
Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. : )

The Rules

1. Leave me a comment saying you want to be interviewed.
2. I will respond by asking you five questions of my choosing.
3. You will post the questions and the answers to the questions on your journal.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to interview other people in the post.
5. When others ask to be interviewed, you will give them five questions.

The following list of questions were given to me by Lisa.

S -- you don't even have time for this nonsense! LOL Even so, I am asking. :)

1. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

LOL. Insane. No, really, where I see myself and where I strive to be are two different places. I see myself on the way to where I strive to be. I strive to have my own juvenile mediation business going, to be in a loving relationship, and to own a home outside LA County - preferably back in OC.

2. Is there one decision or moment in your life that you feel completely changed your path in life? Explain.

The moment I decided to graduate from college ON TIME despite some major setbacks.

3. Do you have any relationships that you unquestionably regret?

Well, that is hard to say. I think I am who I am because of the relationships I have been involved in; I would hate to change things which have helped to bring me to where I am today as a person. However, I do regret, unquestionably, the amount of time I remained in an emotionally abusive and self-destructive relationship. Hand in hand with that is the regret that I accepted his engagement proposal; I do not think highly of breaking promises. So, in sum, I regret parts of the whole relationship, but not the whole relationship itself.

4. Isn't it true that you think Oji is the cutest, bestest, most wonderful-est dog you have ever met in your life?

Absolutely! = P

5. When you left highschool, what did you see yourself doing as a career? Was law school always part of the plan?

Funny you ask it that way. I wanted to be a lawyer since I was in the 4th grade; but, see, there is the small problem which comes back up occasionally - I never graduated from high school. So, did I see myself going to law school? Emphatically, no. All I knew is that I was going to make it through college, despite any words to the contrary from anyone, including my high school Dean, Counselor, and other 'concerned' persons.

During my senior year in college, I planned on going into the Air Force's Office of Special Investigations. I signed on the dotted line and everything; even scored well on the AFOQT for the position. Then, I was hit by a drunk driver on the way to school one morning and, well, that was all she wrote. I have a permanent physical impairment in my shoulder which kept me out of the military completely.

I wrestled with the idea of law enforcement or some related career, and went so far as to work in that field. Then, well, the childhood dream of being a lawyer kicked into gear again. Went to work for the DAs Office in LA and then shipped up and out for law school.

Law school, specifically SW, sucked the love right back out of me again.

So, here I sit now, with a JD for all the wrong reasons, and no desire to use it. We shall see if the bug ever hits again...
