2005-07-03 9:31 AM feeling like a little kid Mood: excited Read/Post Comments (1) |
Hehe...and all I wanted was the license to practice law!?!? Hey, Rob: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. : ) ______________________________ One more day to go. That is all. One more. YAY!!! I feel like I did as a kid; counting down the time to some exciting vacation, trip, or holiday. I love that feeling I get - my stomach all on nerves, my mind unable to focus on anything except the phrase, "Is it time yet?", and the anticipation of the fun in store. As much as things have come to pass, I can tell you that I have some wonderful memories of the 4th of July in the past couple years. On one, with Jen, Carrie, and Rob (Jen's husband Rob, not my involvement), we three gals decided it was time to 'tat' up. I was graced with my beloved handcuffs, Jen with her Celtic fish, and Carrie with her paw print. The year prior, I was in D.C.; I spent the first half in Baltimore at an Oriole's game (against the Yankees) (there is nothing more festive, American, and celebratory of our Nation than baseball... *sigh*), and the second half back in D.C. at the Mall watching the most amazing fireworks display I had ever witnessed. (Let me tell you, I have seen some FANTASTIC fireworks displays in my time, so that is no under-statement to the incredible show I viewed!) Last year, well, I was sick as a dog - I do not remember it even occurring; THAT, my dear friends, was one of the biggest bummers ever. Now, it has come to be that my holiday is upon me again. I sit here wondering, whatever shall I do? It is then, and continuously ever after, I remember... I will study. All hail Shennanigans! She SHALL be Queen of the July Bar Exam! Hail! Hail! ...Okay, so back to reality... I will take some time off. I have set aside time with Rob. The parentals are out of town, one sister is moving, and, well, the other siblings are helping that sister move all weekend. I received my invite. Lest you need reminding what I did with it - think, "It will be recycled back into the Earth within a few years." LOL. Perhaps next year I will be able to relish in 'my' holiday with all the fervor, admiration, love, and warmth which I have bestowed upon it in former years. I cannot, as of yet, tell you how; but, on my honor, I will. I will compensate, ten-fold, for the loss of two. However, I still must trudge, dawdle, and generally work my way through today. There are MBE(s) to bemoan and a Performance Test to be grudgingly written... *gags* To all of you out there, not studying for the Bar (or who are, but have been inclined to take this weekend off) -
I thought of you Lisa! He is darn cute, isn't he??? Okay, I will admit - not cuter than my 'nephew' Oji!!! %-P Oji, Aunt Shennanigans loooooooooves you! Uncle Rob promises to doggie-nap you away one of these weekends...even if it is only to doggie-sit. Harumph! We will spoil you with goodies, play with you in the leash-free doggie park, cuddle with you while watching tv, spoil you some more, and then send you home all hyped up on Puppy Chow! *rubs hands together* Oooooooooh, I cannot wait! ![]() Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
