Hey, Rob: Little boy, you mumble. : P

Yes, I should be asleep, but between being sick and the side effects from the meds, well, here I am; and glad I am too! Without the insomnia, I would not have caught the news.

The heading alludes to it, but the wonderful news is that the SOB that murdered Dave is back on US soil, extradited from Mexico!

I wish those of you here knew Dave, as a person, as an officer, and even as a co-worker. He is still very missed and thought of often.

What happened to Dave was awful and brutal, occuring while he was on duty doing a routine traffic stop. In many ways I fear for R every time he goes to work, mostly because of the closeness of Dave's death to our lives. With this news, I hope Dave's family, both by blood and by uniform, and friends get the closure, the vindication, and the relief of many hours, hard work, and dedication coming to a fruitful ending.

No, this extradition is not the end, but a beginning to something that may open wounds again so that they may heal. I hope to be in the courtroom when the "GUILTY" verdict comes in, unless the chicken-sh** SOB pleads out; lest we forget that he stated he would not be taken alive... Think again bastard!
