I am in Utah. Yes, T minus two days and R and I find ourselves on an emergency road trip to his parents.

R's dad was involved in a serious ATV'ing accident yesterday (Monday), breaking every bone in his face, every bone and joint in his left wrist, and severely damaging his right forearm and wrist. We are expecting him to go into surgery this morning-probably in the next hour or so.

Yep, R really needs to be in this kind of position, right? Choosing between being here for his parents and being by my side. My injuries are not life threatening, but his father's may well be because of the extent of damage to the internal bones of his sinuses and the severe open wound damage to his right wrist on top of the fractures.

Folks, I dunno, but next week, when St. Patrick's Day rolls around-look back with me on this week and flip a couple birdies at it, ok?

As for us, we are going to be with R's parents until his dad is rolled to the O/3, then head ourselves back to Cali to deal with me.

Lordy this is NOT what I signed up for when I promised to keep strong; grant me the patience to understand WHY and then the strength to lend to my husband 'cause I am afraid this IS too much.
