So it took me some extra time, but I finally caught up with April. Thank Heaven too, because we were SOOOOOO ready for March to be O-V-E-R! March truly was traumatic, so *here is to April* and hopefully the flowers following the showers.

Okay, so I was tagged by Netta for the letter meme and given the letter 'n', and I have the energy to type it out today. (I thought I would never get a boost of energy again.)

Here is how it works...post a comment, and I'll give you a letter. you then list ten of your favorite things that start with the given letter.

Of course, being me, I could not stick to the rules; I found WAY more things than ten favorites that begin with the letter 'n', so I am choosing to post them all...to He** with rules; they were made to be bent and broken. = D

Netter's Journal No matter how my day is going, her entries make me smile, and often laugh. Her entries also make me realize how precious friends are for support and important it is to remember that "phucktards" are not the end-all be-all they make themselves out to be. Thanks Netta!

necklace from R The second most precious item I own (the first being my wedding ring trio) is the necklace R gave to me when he graduated from the academy. With the exception of my surgery, I have never taken it off for more than a few minutes, and never will. The pride I have in him for accompishing what he set out to do is undefinable.

nieces I love being an aunt! My nieces are incredible people with wonderful personalities and all the quirkiness of our family.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson I cannot wait for the opportunity to meet this man...He is an Astrophysicist at The American Museum of Natural History and frequently narrates or participates in The Science Channel's program, The Universe. I do have one bone to pick with Mr. Tyson, however, as he did speak on behalf of degrading Pluto from its place as a "planet"...BOOOOOOO Mr. Tyson, BOOOOOOO!

Nebulae Amidst the darkness of the night sky, by a telescope aimed toward anywhere in the Universe, nebulae are the most gorgeous apparition, outscored only by the aurorae seen near the poles of Earth. Having seen the aurora borealis, and having seen many nebulae, I am in awe of how small and insignificant we truly are in the cosmos.

Nine West shoes Okay, there are shoes which are more comfortable, such as Skechers and Uggs, but as far as dress shoes go, there is no better, more comfortable, longer lasting brand than NW. Ooooh, and the choices! Seriously, the bang for the buck makes them almost orgasmic. :-)

Nasty Girl by Janet Jackson Need I say more?

Nintendo DS Life without it would be boring. Brain Age (I and II), Mahjong, and even the game Cars have added life to incredibly mundane times, like being in the hospital for a week and a half. It is a life saver.

Numb3rs Besides having Rob Morrow (yummy), the show has a really good premis. I wish it had not taken the direction it did this past season, incorporating more involvement of the brother and father, but it still rocks as a television show.

Nancy Reagan As First Lady she used her powers for good and not evil, and in using those powers she created DARE. Not that DARE did everything it set out to do, but it made an impact on several children, including me, while growing up surrounded by the world of drug use in the eighties and nineties in schools. As a mother and wife, she was not perfect, never pretended to be perfect, and has lived life on her own terms. I admire that kind of person and respect her for what she has done and how she has lived.

Nutter Butters There is no better cookie than one shaped like a peanut and filled with peanut butter. Seriously.

Nosferatu, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Ninth Gate Three of my favorite movies. Nosferatu for its groundbreaking of the horror genre; Nightmare for its original story and soundtrack (of course, I adore anything with Danny Elfman involved); and Ninth Gate because of the use of books in the plot and scenery, which was shot on location rather than in a studio.

Nine Inch Nails Trent Reznor has created some of the best music of our generation and has earned his place on my list. My fave album is Downward Spiral, despite any third party opinions.

nail spas *YAY* for pedicures, especially those in the massaging chairs with the foot spas.

Napa Valley Not that this one needs any explanation, but when you combine a place with some of the best California wines and it also is home to a cheese factory, you get one of the best places to travel.

Nordstrom Rack I despise shopping for clothes, but if I have to do it, I would prefer to shop at NR because of the deals I find. Oh, and it helps the Nordstrom stock we own...LoL.

Nadia Comaneci I began gymnastics when I was young because of being inspired by her. I would have continued had I not blown out my knee cap when I slipped off the balance beam. I learned discipline, timing, and teamwork through gymanstics.

New Age Music I love to relax to to tunes stemming from Centic and Sankrit origins.

Ghost Orchid - are they not simply lovely?
