I know, I know, I keep promising to update, but time has not been on my side. Please accept my apologies.

I am not going to try to recap everything in the past few weeks, rather I will simply state that R and I have been busy trying to do things together when he is not working and that I am feeling better everyday.

The doctors have narrowed down the culprit of the vertigo, imbalance, and migraines to a specific nerve - the issue now is tyring to figure out how to get the problem under control without keeping me on steroids forever. Been there, done that for other medical issues, and IT IS NOT FUN! I go back the beginning of next week to meet with the medical team and try to get some resolution. Whew.

Until then, I do know the triggers - loud noises will trigger the problems, as will certain pitches of noise, such as helicopters flying overhead (Lisa, they are coming to get you). Base in music is a trigger, as well as car horns, car alarms, and other street noise. Thus, I am still under a medical suspend on my drivers license, and I am not supposed to be out walking on the street by myself; so I am at the whim and mercy of others to escape our home that has become my virtual prison. I do, however, tend to walk to the grocery store ALL BY MYSELF, like a big girl (hehehehehe), since it is less than a block from our house. I did try to walk to a nearby Starbucks and to the mall near out home, but was thwarted by a fire engine which *strolled* on by while I was attempting my escape. R had to come pick me up from where I was stranded. Meh.

Some of the fun things we have been doing in clude the Aquarium of the Pacific (we have annual passes), whale watching, Universal Studios (also have annual passes, but it was stupid to go since EVERYTHING was too loud, including the tram ride), Downtown Disney, the zoo, the Petersen Auto Museum, and other various touristy places where the school groups ARE NOT. We learned the times and dates at each location of school tour groups after our first trip to the aquarium when it opened, only to find that it was hosting SEVERAL (it seemed hundred) school groups of screaming children in an area that resounds echos louder than an airplane hanger. If G** had struck me down at that moment for my lapse in intelligence, I would not have blamed Him one bit. Nope. Not one. (Btw, the children tend to leave all places to head back to their schools around 2pm or so, so we have learned to head out early, enjoy a picnic or whatever, and then go to our destination.)

I am posting a private entry following this one as there are discussions of *real life* I do not want public. See? There is your head's up. LoL!

Ghost Orchid - are they not simply lovely?
