This is one of two (the other is private) entries I have had written and stored on my da** JS loathing Crackberry.

HA! I wonder who wins the pool. . .

Okay, srsly, The Two Coreys had me busting out gut wrenching laughs and snorts last night! I Tivo'd the series, as sad as that may seem to everyone. Let me start by saying that anyone (Haim) who says they are not addicted to drugs SOLELY because they are prescribed by a doctor, oh and lest I forget to mention, because he sees a doctor once a week, well that is just CRAZY! Then, once that wore off, Feldman went in for liposuction-are you f***ing kidding me!?! What fat is he exactly trying to get sucked out? OMFG, I could not stop laughing.

On the more serious side, however, I was taken aback at how Haim's assistant and mom (and shrink) see his addiction, yet fail to do anything affirmative to get him help. It was as sad as the above was funny. I applaud Feldman and Susie for trying any level of intervention because it does not seem anyone else is Haim's life will even try-not for lack of caring, I do not think, but perhaps because they do not want to see or admit the problem exists-listening only to Haim's denials and wanting to believe them, and in him. I do not envy any of the people involved. I hope the end is happier than it appears to be leading toward.

Okay, rant over.

On a personal note, I am MUCH enjoying being back at work, particularly in my new location. I was able to swing over to Pinkberry and meet K for lunch on Thursday. I miss her very much. She looks fantastic! She is a new gramma to a gorgeous baby girl. In my head, I still expect grammas to be old, grey haired, and retired-nope, not this gramma. (And not a few other grammas, here on JS! *winks*). It is so nice to be so close to meet up with girlfriends for work lunches. It is more cathartic than I ever imagined.

Work went well this past week. No major problems (a few glitches here and there), and lots of headway for the project I am working to progress. This next week finds me out of town again, but not for more than two days. Whew-I do not think I could do another biz trip for a whole week! It really took alot out of me when I did it a few weeks ago.

Rob and I spent an evening at Universal Studios. We *had* to check out the new Simpsons ride. It took the place of the Back to the Future ride, yet is the same kind of hydraulic experience. (Same as Star Tours too.) It shook a bit, but I kept my head forward so I would not have it hit the headrest. It was pretty fun; it made jokes against most amusement parks, including Disneyland. Neither of us are Simpsons fans, but the ride was enjoyable. The Mummy is still my favorite. We did go on Jurassic Park-it was still hot out, even @ 7:30pm, so we went on the water ride to cool off. It felt nice to get wet. R had wet jeans, but it did not bother him. He is a better person than me-I can't stand walking around in wet pants. I had on shorts, but they did not get wet other than from the damp seat when I first got on the ride. Poor girl behind us had on a white tank top. Silly girl.

I am fairly certain we will continue our annual passes since they have such inexpensive deals for renewing them. We live close enough that we can go enjoy the park for an evening (without spending alot for gas), with free parking, and come home for dinner. Once in awhile we will go to CityWalk for dinner, but things have become even more expensive because of the economy and tourist season; it just is not worthwhile, ya know?

R has been working alot of days in a row, with only sporadic days off-and not usually back to back. This week, he has a few days off in a row, so hopefully he can get some MUCH needed rest.

Lots, and I mean LOTS of birthdays, baby showers, weddings, and bridal showers in the next few months. Wow. It is fun and exciting, but it also takes up alot of time and is a tad exhausting-particularly when I am involved in an half dozen or so of the events. Gah. I would not change a thing, however; I adore these people and am so very happy and honored to be a part of their celebrations.

There is a private entry following this one.

Arrivederci!

Ghost Orchid - are they not simply lovely?
