Just an entry to 1) switch to October - YAY for Halloween, and 2) let you all know I am trying to keep up, if not everyday (unlikely), at least a few times a week.

I was debating about decorating my journal for Halloween, but have decided to stick with my current decor. I love getting into the Halloween spirit, but this year there is another event hanging in the air...the election. So, no, Halloween has to take a backseat this year. *sigh* It is only one year of many, but still...

Not alot going on that I am willing to post publicly, so here is your notice that there is a private entry following this one.

As for an update on the election issue - well, since California is going to vote by the Electoral College for Obama, I have only to decide where I want my vote to land for the popular vote. I prefer "None of the Above", but have been raised with a feeling of duty when it comes to voting; thus, I need to vote for someone. I have created a lengthy spreadsheet for myself containing alot of information regarding lobbyists, important issues (where R and I stand and where each candidate and VP stands), Senate records, and foreign debts/needs/wants. So far, no one has more 'ticky-marks' than any other. In fact, surprisingly, there are some alternative party candidates pulling their weight.

I cannot wait for this to be OVER. I am at a point where I do not care who wins, so long as it is OVER. I wish I had a candidate to be enthused about, and hope against hope that it may occur in 2012, because it is not happenning this year. *fingers crossed*

I do not think this country has become what our forefathers had in mind.
