What does it seem that every athlete thanks God for his victory? First of all, God did not have money on the outcome. God doesn't bet on sports and really doesn't have a rooting interest in the outcome. I think Barry Bonds (see, I got at him early this time) looked like an idiot when he kissed his hands and pointed his steroid infested fingers to the sky. Was he thanking God, his father, Bobby, or B.A.L.C.O.?

Another thing is: please stop talking about all the "hard work" you've invested. What work? You are spoiled, pampered, overpaid babies. I am certain that you have haven't worked one single hard day in your short life. Grow up. Try digging ditches in 110 degree heat for ten hours a day for minimum wage. Every single athlete always talks about their hard life growing up on the "streets." I do not realize that every single athlete came out of Compton. Take Barry Bonds (got him again) for example. He grew up as THE FIRST BLACK FAMILY in San Carlos, CA. If you haven't ever visited, San Carlos is just like Leave It To Beaver. There is a zero crime rate and the city makes you turn the lights out at nine o'clock each night. I am sorry I referred to him as "black" and not "African American" but I am certain that he is not from Africa. I certainly do not refer to myself as "European American."

Another gripe. Whatever happened to competitive boxing? I remember, and I am not that old, Ali vs. Frazier; and Hearns vs. Leonard. I also remember watching most of those championship fights for free. Whatever happened to one champ at each weight class? Now there is WBA, WBC, IBF, WWE, WCW, MMA ... okay, I got off the beaten track.

Why are we paying $59.95 for Ricky Hatton vs. Manny Pauqio? It was another 2 round massacre of an overhyped Brit. There is not one single Heavyweight match that I care to see except perhaps Klitchko vs Klitchko. I want to see the two pummel each other while their mother watches from ringside and tells them to "knock it off." Bet they stop and tell their mama that they are sorry. Maybe they should just give her the belt.

How about the admission price at the new Yankee Stadium ... err ... George Steinbrenner Shrine ... err ... whatever you want to call it. The tickets are like $1500 each, times 81 games ... or $121.500 for season tickets!!! That does not include parking or food. SO, let's make it around $200,000 to attend all 81 home games. Here is something even funnier ... ready ... there are nearly 100 seats in the stadium where the view of the field is completely obstructed. Why do you think they have the world's largest video screen? It's for those folks paying $200,000 who can't see the field. I would rather stay home and buy a nice $1500 flat screen. Oh yeah, that's what I am doing now. For the price of one single ticket ... one ticket ... did you pay attention ... one ticket ... you can have a brand new 52" flat screen television!!! Are New Yorkers really that stupid?

Did anyone see the Kentucky Derby? Mine That Bird was incredible. What a run. He came from nowhere to thoroughly dominate the other 18 horses in the race. As great as that story is; the 50-1 underdog (underhorse?) was bought for a paltry $9500. That's right, for $9500 he has already earned millions. BUT ... the horse is a gelding. That's right, the winner of horse racing most prestigious race will never father children. His sperm would be worth far more than $9500 per load. I wonder who has already hung themselves for that boo-boo, huh?

I don't know how I could have forgot to mention the Alex Rodriquez book that was just released. I believe it focuses on all aspects of A-Rods life. Supposedly, he has been taking steroids since high school. Alex claims that he only took them with the Rangers. Let's see ... who else on the Rangers is linked to steroids? Jose Canseco, Ivan Rodriquez, Juan Gonzalez, Barry Bonds (okay, he never played for the Rangers, but I had to work him in anyway). So, maybe he did take them with the Rangers. But, he claims he never took them with the beloved Yankees. Let's see again, Roger Clemens, Andy Petite, Jason Giambi, Ivan Rodriquez (again) ... nope ... no chance there. Besides, Alex has never done anything else wrong, has he? Oh yeah, he cheated on his wife with a stripper and then with much worse, Madonna. That's just the two that we all know about. Oh yeah, he likes to play in illegal card games. He supposedly tips hitters to the pitches coming from his own teammates. His tips pitches, but he NEVER tips his waiter. Alex, for $25.2 million per season ... can't you tip at least a $20 spot once in awhile. Here is one you'll never believe. He makes the clubhouse attendant put the toothpaste on his toothbrush for him. Even Barry Bonds (did it again) doesn't do that ... or does he?
