In recent visits to Jack in the Box restaurants, I have check the receipts closely after they total them. On the last three occasions, they have added betwen 10 and 32 cents (and no, I did not add cheese, or change the drink, or anything else that allowed for the upgraded price. One example is that I ordered a Ultimate Breakfast Combo- which they had priced on their menu board for $4.19. I purchased it with no upgrades- and yes, with the small coffee, and they rung it up for $4.49 plus tax. If I had not checked the receipt- they would have pocketed 30 extra cents. Imagine if they did this on every order. I took a photo of their price board and of the receipt and sent it to Jack in the Box, corporate office. They sent me a complimentary certificate. BIG FRIGGIN DEAL. What about the hundreds of thousands of dollars they are illegally pocketing? I have tried and tried to get them to deal with this...so next time you go to Jack in the Box, check your receipt carefully. They also are charging up to $1.20 for a large upgrade, even when their price board says ".89". So where does that extra 31 cents go? It is illegal to charge a price that is higher than what you have posted...
