That whole Dr. Laura thing still bugs me. I really think she just asked a question that we all want to know...."why is alright for African Americans to use the N word when referring to each other"? I still think it is wrong...but apparently there are not a lot of people that agree with me. I think it is a negative term whenever it is used and should not be used by anyone...but I guess I must be wrong. If so...then when it is used by a non African-American...and NOT meant in a deragatory manner...will the person who used it be forgiven? I still can not find a situation to use it where it is not offensive in some way...of course- if someone called me a "n" word- I would find it flattering in some ways- it would mean that I relate to everyone. I guess I am a "N" word, and all the other racial categories- cause I hang with everyone and I really try not to see any difference due to race, etc. I try to think of everyone as just a person- and I am not just trying to "toot my own horn". I wish it was me that asked that question- I always wanted to...it has always bothered me. How about we due away with the whole "African American thing'? How about people are light skinned or dark skinned? Personally- I try to keep as tan as a can...
