NFL Predictions

I really do not follow the NFL like I do the NBA or MLB...

AFC

Patriots
Jets
Bills
Dolphins

Texans
Titans
Colts
Jaguars

Ravens
Steelers
Bengals
Browns

Chargers
Broncos
Raiders
Chiefs

NFC

Eagles
Giants
Cowboys
Redskins

Saints
Falcons
Panthers
Buccaneers

Packers
Lions
Bears
Vikings

Niners
Cardinals
Rams
Seahawks

Just for fun...lets have these teams in the playoffs

Pats, Ravens, Texans, Steelers, Chargers, , Broncos

Eagles, Giants, Saints, Falcons, Packers, , Niners

Packers over the Pats?
Golden State Warriors

The 2012 Golden State Warriors:

Center: Andrew Bogut...probably a top 8 center
Power Forward: David Lee...Underrated but a double- double
Small Forward: Harrison Barnes...awesome pick
Shooting Guard: Klay Thompson...runner up ROY
Point Guard: Stephen Curry...stay healthy

This team should get a 7 or 8 seed in the play-offs.

Reserves:

Andres Biedrins
Jeremy Tyler
Richard Jefferson
Brandon Rush (once they sign him)
Jarret Jack

Good second team

Others:

Ezeli and Green...their two rookies

Now, here is the interesting part...the team might still have around 3 million to spend on a free agent, so here is my wish list:

Lou Amundsen, Matt Barnes, Shannon Brown, Maurice Evans, Johnny Flynn, Jordan Hill, Antawn Jamison, Carl Landry, Courtney Lee, Kenyon Martin, Troy Murphy, Michel Pietrus, Anthony Randolph, Martell Webster, Randy Foye, Michael Redd, Nate Robinson, Gilbert Arenas.Look at those names...8 of them are x-warriors.

2012 NBA Mock Draft (Updated)

(1) Hornets- Davis, PF, Kentucky. DAHHHHHHHHHHH

(2) Bobcats- Barnes- SF- North Carolina- I think Jordan cracks and takes a Tar Heel. Barnes may be the second best player.

(3) Wizards- Beal- SG- Florida. Wall and Beal in the backcourt for many years?

(4) Cavaliers- Drummond- C- Connecticut- They NEED a true center and they have to take a gamble

(5) Kings- Gilchrest- SF- Kentucky- This would be ideal for the Kings

(6) Trailblazers- Robinson- F- Kansas- They will play him at SF, next to Aldridge- or maybe ALdridge has to try to play C

(7) Warriors- Jones- F- Baylor- I think the Warriors take him and hope he is everything that he can be...

(8) Raptors- Waiters- PG- Syracuse- replaces Calderon

(9) Pistons- Henson- North Carolina- PF- to do the dirty work next to Monroe

(10) Hornets- Rivers- SG- Duke- Need to have him play PG though

(11) Trailblazers- Lillard- PG- Weber State- they need a PG and he may fall to them

(12) Bucks- Leonard- C0- Illinois- best C available

(13) Suns- Marshall- PG- North Carolina- Nash is leaving

(14) Rockets- Jones- SF- Kentucky- they are going to try to surround the incoming Howard with talent

(15) Sixers- Moultrie- PF- Need to replace Brand

(16) Rockets- Sullinger- PF- North Carolina- I am sure that Scola has to go to get Howard

(17) Rockets (from Twolves) Lamb- SG - Connecticut

(18) Rockets- Harkless- SF- St Johns- everyone seems to like him- Houston won't keep all these picks- but I would

(19)Mavericks- Ross- SG- Washington- to replace Terry...they really need a PG though

20) Nuggets- Zeller- C- North Carolina- Will be a career back-up but he is 7 foot and they don't really like McGee long term

(21) Celtics- Nicholson- PF- St Bonaventure- replacement for Garnett down the road. Need a C

(22) Celtics- Miller- SF- Baylor- Replacement for Pierce down the road/ Need a C

(23)Hawks- Melo- C- Syracuse- They need a C so they can move Horford to PF and Smith to SF. The also need a back- up PG

(24) Cavaliers- Lamb- SG- Kentucky- to pair with Irving

(25) Grizzlies- Teague- PG- Kentucky Back up for Conley

(26)Pacers- White- Iowa State- SF- Back up for Granger and in case he leaves

(27) Heat- Jenkins- SG- Vanderbilt- Wade may be hurt more often and there are no good centers left

(28) Thunder- Taylor- sf- Vanderbilt. They may go with Ibaka, Durant, Taylor, Harden, and Westbrook...athletic and small- less defense, more offense than last year

(29) Bulls- Wroten- PG/SG- Washington...can play next to Rose- or replace him when he is out

(30) Warriors- Green- sf/pf- Michigan State- Best player available at this pick...may take Taylor- PG though

Facebook

The other night, my better half (my wife), blurts out "oh no, my spotted rhino just got out of the barn". Well, I was pretty much watching my eyelids and pretending to pay attention...so I leaped out of bed and threw on some clothes- at least I THINK I put on some clothes, grabbed a flashlight, and sprinted into our backyard.

Then, it hit me. Wait a minute. We have a great dane, two saint bernards, a black lab, a pomeranian, three cats, s mess of kids...but no rhino. I had been tricked. I felt like the fool standing in our backyard looking for a spotted rhino which we never had.

I sheepishly returned to our bedroom where my wife wondered just "what in the hell had gotten into me". So, I was stuck admitting that I was not really awake and watching Desperate Housewives with her. She told me that my ungodly snoring had given that away a long time ago.

Has anything like this ever happened to you? Pause...pause...pause...sound of crickets chirping...

Alright then, let's try something much more realistic, shall we? Have you ever taken a picture with your cell phone (damn, that still seems like something out of Star Trek) and announced..."that is going straight to Facebook"? Sometimes I think we should snap the pic and just blurt out "FACEBOOK" and it appears there. I am kidding...I really don't want that. Their stock just went up another dollar.

Let's try another approach. Do you ever feel like you HAVE to return favors on facebook? You know- you just got home from a 14 hour work day (yes, I really do work 14 hour days) and you have like one bizillion requests. You chug down a dozen five hour energy drinks and set out determined to return all those necessities to your facebook pals- which- you really have never met any of them. Of course, at the same time, all of your close buddies a trying to do the very same thing as it is only right? If they do- you must also or else the world will end.

Alright- I don't really mean any of this...or do I? Actually there is a reason for writing this...aside from my own amusement. Apparently, it has become important to gain a substantial amount of "likes" before your band can be considered to play at certain establishments. I am trying to help some friends get their band more "gigs"- I still love that word- and I have been pushing my REAL friends to "like" their band on Facebook. I finally got the magic number over 100 and all it took was having a few dogs- like all of mine- who have theri own facebook pages- and a few horses also- and no, I still do not have a rhino "liking" them. Maybe if I could find the one my wife lost...oh well. Since I have had 43,000 people read my rantings...perhaps a few of you who are on facebook- and I am sure that 42,999 of you are...can go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mad-Monkey/164419246960818 and like them for me. PLEASE! Once again, that is

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mad-Monkey/164419246960818 again, that is

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mad-Monkey/164419246960818

Please "like" them and maybe, just maybe, the next time you need a spotted rhino- I will send you one...if I can find him

I have an idea to make everyone happy

Everyone keeps talking about realignment in baseball. People think that it is not fair that the Rays, Blue Jays, and Orioles have to compete with the megbuck Yankees and Red Sox. People also bitch that a team can win their division with a sub .500 record and make the playoffs over a team with a .550 record. Here is the solution. First, you need to move one National League team into the American League- I don't care who it is. You now have 15 teams in each league. You have one division in the American League and one division in the National League. Each AL team plays each other AL team 12 times for a total of 168 games. Each NL team plays each NL team the same amount of times. The top two teams in each league meet in a playoff to see who goes to the World Series. Now, the World Series is a best of 7 in 7 different ball parks- no home field advantage. Does that sound fair to everyone? Works with the NFL also. The AFC plays one game against each other AFC team and the NFC does the same. Top two teams in each meets in a playoff. Super Bowl is held in New Orleans every year...like it? Comment please.

Niner/Raider Game

What crap. You fight harder in the stands than the players do on the field. What if there had been children close by? Oh yeah- you wouldn't care- you were trying to show how tough you are. Grow the hell up. It is not even a real ricvalry. Hey- think about it- the game didn't matter and both of you stink. I hope all of you go to jail...well at least the problem ones

NBA Trade Machine

I've got two trades to start with, and both of them work to the advantage of both teams and work with the salary cap.

Warriors send Ellis to the Bulls...I expect a comment from Rambler on this one- for Boozer. The Warriors have the cap room to make this work. The Bulls start Rose, Ellis, Deng, Gibson, and Noah...they are better and they want Boozer out.

Warriors start Lee, Boozer, Thornton, Thompson, and Curry. Warriors get tougher and are slightly improved.

Warriors send Biedrins to Rockets for Monjenus and Jordan Hill. Rockets get a starting center. Warriors dump salary and get a back-up Center and back-up PF....works for me. Bothe deals can, and will, be made.
