nice reviews, happy weekend

It's been a really good weekend, despite a farcically nightmarish cross-country bus ride that took up most of the day yesterday. We went down to London Friday night with my aunt and cousin to have dinner and see a play (Noel Coward's "Blithe Spirit") at the Savoy Theater, which is a remodeled version of the original theater where most of Gilbert and Sullivan's operettas were premiered. I walked through Covent Garden with my mouth wide open and my eyes drinking in sights. On our way to the Savoy, I passed theaters I'd heard of or read about for most of my life. I started to giggle foolishly. I love London! We had to hop on a bus early Saturday morning, but we've promised ourselves another, longer London trip very soon. (If nothing else, I really want to visit this exhibition at the National Art Gallery, for both my thesis and my new novel!)

And there's been great news in the past few days--Matthew Cheney posted a really lovely review of Stitching Time on his blog, and I've heard that Inside the Tower got a nice review in the March issue of Locus. I can't confirm this, though, as there's nowhere to buy the magazine around here! Has anyone seen a March issue of Locus?

If the news was wrong and it was a bad review, then, of course, please don't answer that question! ;p

I'm tired but looking forward to the new week. Happy Sunday, everybody!
