Woohoo! My quirky Wales fantasy/slipstream story has been published in Issue No. 10 of Simulacrum magazine. Always so cool when you get to read a story of your own in published format. (And as someone else pointed out, I know I've really made it as a spec fic writer now that I've got a story printed in a magazine with a lurid cover showing a busty woman. It's real, now!)

This morning I wrote three more pages of my silly chick lit novel, Marrying a Demon, which is continuing to be a lot of fun for me. But drat it, it looks like it's going to require research! How does that always happen? This was supposed to be my easy, just-for-fun novel! Not as much research as Thief of Souls, though, and I feel a lot more comfortable racing ahead on Marrying a Demon, making up details of London theatrical life with wild abandon, while I take time out to do real research on eighteenth-century Istanbul for Thief of Souls.
