This morning, after several days of not-so-much-fun on my revisions, I had one of those breakthroughs I always dream about: a moment when all the missing pieces of the worldbuilding puzzle in my head suddenly appeared and snapped right into place, sending off plot-fixing sparks. YES. I scribbled pages and pages of notes in my new notebook and felt like I was flying. I can't even begin to say what a relief this was!

And this afternoon, I had a revelation of a totally different sort. I thought I knew all about what good hot chocolate tasted like. But I HAD NO IDEA...until this afternoon, when I opened the box of Vosges Aztec Elixir couture cocoa that Ysabeau and her husband Devilman had given me this weekend.Oh. My. God! Dark chocolate shavings, anchote & chipotle chili peppers, Ceylon cinnamon, yellow maize and Madagascar vanilla beans. I took one sip and all of my taste buds exploded with pleasure. I was almost in shock as I drank it, the whole combination of flavors like a perfect fireworks display. I have NEVER drunk hot chocolate that good! I have been working really hard ever since then not to let myself drink another cup until tomorrow. But I am counting down the hours.

Wow. Wow, wow, wow.

I am going to have to find some way of buying more, in bulk!
