Homes Need A Bailout!

Here's my idea for fixing the Economy, after the Great Repression of 2008...

As our "Bailout Plan" for "Main Street", We, the People, should allow Ourselves to borrow enough money to bring existing homes up to Code. Zero percent interest, or free altogether.

My home was renovated and remodeled about 3+ years ago. It made my home safer and greener. Allow let's say, $50K per average (older) home. Each home is an individual case, but most homes are not completely up to code, grandfathered in after years of gentle neglect.

This would put America back to work! Contractors and suppliers benefit. Homeowners get an upgraded standard of living in a real asset of value that represents inheritance value, and old-age security.

After throwing $Ts to Wall Street, over their greedy manipulation of the lives of countless people worldwide, it's not unreasonable to set up government loans and grants for safety and green improvements to our personal infrastructure.

There are countless unemployed and under-employed, who have skills to remodel our homes, and others to improve our roads and bridges...

(Let's build archologies and connect green mega-condos with high-speed underground trains? Let's build undersea cities and mine the ocean floor's mysteries? Let's mine the asteriods. But that's another story!)

Get America back to work by improving not only public works, but private infrastructure as well.

Each home could be generating power to feed into the grid! And there's your ROI. (Where's the ROI on bailing out greed and incompetance again?)

Estimates of the costs of my idea "are beyond my paygrade", as BHO has famously quipped. I hope informed opinions might be generated in the comments to this blog.

I'm willing to bet it's on the same order of magnitude as what we've already given away to these treasonous money-grubbing thugs already.

And, yes, I consider individuals who sell out their country for money to be treasonous. Just my opinion, I'm no lawyer. I haven't seen any indictments or grand jurys or impeachments or heads rolling.

We must demand an accounting of deeds which led to The Great Repression of 2008. The guilty and the traitors must forfeit their entire fortunes. All their money should go toward paying for new infrastructure for The People.
