Mood:
Contemplative

Had a bit of an alarm today here at work. I got an anxious call from one of the big bosses, who immediately conferenced my other boss in. With the state of things now, when you get a sudden call from both directors of operations, on a payday Friday, it makes you worry just a bit.

Things are okay though, actually good for some people at least. They wanted to get an official okay from me to officially ask for two of my resources (people) to be reorganized under other responsibilities. Brett, for instance, has been asked to officially be considered as Tier 2 under a different manager. In my opinion, Brett's already been outshining Tier 2 folks and doing that job for a while now. Bryan will be moving to officially reporting to Roger, not teeter totterring between me and Roger depening on what he is working on at the time. Hopefully, this stablizes a lot of confusion.

Of course, I now have a group of only three that report to me. This may be good, it may not be, but at least two of my group are in demand enough by others in the company so far.

Listened to new Tori Amos stuff today (unreleased promo CD from an inside source at the record label). Pretty neat, fairly mellow and cruisin. A bit more mellow than prior work. Pretty stuff though.

So I'm not sure what's wrong with me. This is the third day that I've felt fine most of the day, but towards the afternoon evening, I start feeling feverish, my face gets flushed, I get slightly achy and headachy, but the next morning I'm fine again. grrr.Maybe my body is trying to get the flu, but doesn't have the time to get sick all the way, or is mostly fighting it off. *shrug*

So I am debating the whole online bill pay concept today, after getting an unexpected debit charge from AMEX. See, last month I forgot about that bill, was late, they called. I figured that I was able to pay a good chunk of the balance, so paid 100 bucks online, so that it wouldn't get later than what it was already. So I figured it was all settled, but today all of a sudden I was a hundred bucks short than what I expected. I looked into it, and somehow I managed to approve a hundred bucks to be paid monthly. Still not sure if this was my fault or theirs, but now I'm being very wary. I'm leaving the payment there though, because it's another big dent that I should be making while I still have steady income. It's just annoying because I never got a confirmation that that was what was going to happen. grr.

And if you're wondering about my subject, you're not "in the know" with the rest of us Push, Nevada people. It's gotten fairly interesting. Four shows down, four clear clues so far, and a seriously weird, twisty plot with some bizzarre characters. I'm enjoying it.
