..And All That Jazz.....

So Friday, while browsing around the Tower Records and Barnes and Nobel after the movie(My Big Fat Greek Wedding, which I really dug and do reccomend) I bought the recent Broadway soundtrack of Chicago. I've heard some of the music before, but never the whole thing, and I've never gotten a chance to see it on stage. I love this soundtrack. The music and story is really cute. You can just picture the Fosse choreography during the numbers. I'd thought about getting it before, along with other musicals for my collection, but I saw a preview to the movie they are doing for it and wanted to get a copy so I could at least hear a real production of it before they screw with it at all for a movie. I'm looking forward to it, and expect that they'll do it right, but just did Broadway shows.

So, even though I've only heard it like twice, it's been in my head a lot. I was debating the purchase at first, but am glad I bought it.

Friday night's performance of CLUE was brilliant, and I am quite sorry that they did so much work for only one show. The guy who played Tim Curry's role was sensational. He was all over the place, had his timing perfect. It was really well done. And to think that these guys packed the theater, did a great performance, and get paid absolutely nothing for it. They do RHPS every Saturday as well, for nothing. Great shows too.

Saturday I went to a BBQ and party that was thrown for Stacy who came into town for the weekend. It was really great seeing her and her baby (both looking fabulous by the way) and people that I haven't seen for quite some time, such as Kat and Marcelo, Chuck Canaday, Steve Hough, Brian K. (who recently wrecked his motorcycle but is okay), and the gamers that I seldomly see.

Sunday I went to a werewolf LARP, and then to Old Spagetti Factory for some more visiting with Stacy, Raimie (the baby), and friends. It was nice. I forgot how much food you can get there for fairly reasonable prices, with saland and dessert included.

Today has been slightly aggrivating. I've had people hoverring about my desk asking questions about reorganizations with the company, etc, and even after an actual meeting time is set, they still hover with questions. What do they not understand when I try to explain that I don't know much in addition to what they already know, to be patience, and to stay focused and actually keep working?! *sigh*

I'm a kitten herder here I tell ya. (Reference from a book Managing People is like Herding Cats)

:-P
