Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. • City Slicker

Ok, so I had my first "City Slicker" moment out here in the country. I had to share it...

I went to preview a 290 acre property before showing it to clients. I was by myself, wearing heels and black slacks. The driveway is a dirt road off of the main highway. There are two big iron gates to go through at the beginning of the driveway. I wondered if I should shut them, but then I thought, "nah, I'll shut them on my way out. I'll only be about 20 minutes and there is no crime out here. It's not like they keep the gates locked."

So do do do do on my way up the hill. At the crest of the hill I come upon lots of cows. I think, "oh how cute." Then I noticed one of the cows closest to me. She looked at me, then at the gate, back at me, and then sprinted for the gate! I think an explicative escaped my lips as I threw the car in reverse and raced the cow back to the gate. I beat her there thank goodness, closed the gates, and giggled at myself the whole way up to the house.

I learned my lesson well. Always close gates; heels are not the most appropriate attire on dirt roads; and cows are alot smarter than I previously thought!
