Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. As of May 10th, I have a beautiful baby boy, named Allexindir! The birth went well. I was able to have him naturally – no Pitosin, no Epidural and no Episiotomy. Labor was long, but manageable. It was quite an experience! My Doula, Jacque, helped me tremendously. In fact, she is the only reason I was able to deliver naturally. The doctors said that most women who try to deliver naturally end up with a cesarean, but they don’t usually have a Doula to help them. I am so pleased with how it turned out. Allex is healthy, strong, and alert and I am healing very quickly.

Everyone has been so wonderful with their love and support! Stu and Gigi made it up the weekend after Allex was born. We had a great time! They were such proud grandparents :-) and I was so happy to share him with them. We took lots of pictures. Gigi brought some pictures of Stuart as a newborn that I had never seen. I enjoyed seeing those pictures tremendously. You can really see how Allex looks like Stuart did as a baby. At the same time, you can see me in him as well. It’s amazing seeing the blend of us. We also reminisced on memories of Stuart and talked about how much he would have loved seeing his new son!

Tami and Alyssa made it up here the next weekend. We had so much fun visiting and drinking coffee! Tami brought some decaf Starbucks specially for me :-). We visited nonstop, in between, holding and taking care of the baby. Tami gave me great tips on motherhood. And Alyssa was so helpful with Allex. It was great seeing how much they enjoyed him. Scooter almost made it up with them, but he had to complete a project for his Japanese class. His grade depends on it – only about 2 weeks left of school. We’ll get to see him and everyone else in June. We’ll be at Tom & Tami’s from June 23rd to July 4th. I can’t wait!
