Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. Tami will be home today! She should be landing at LAX any time now. We can’t wait to see her! Tom is staying in Europe for one more week to see Germany. The kids have missed them, but they have been great troupers! They were very good for me. And we had a fun time together.

We stayed up late watching movies and hanging out with friends and family. We went shopping a couple of times for fun things like cd’s, ice cream, and treats for their dog, Shylo. (It was Shylo’s birthday – we HAD to get him a new collar, tag and treats! :-)) We went to a movie - Allex’s first - Dodgeball. We wanted to see more movies, but time didn’t allow for it.

We went Cosmic Bowling one night from 10:30pm to 2:30am. Very late for me, but it was exciting. Allex was good. He slept through most of it, just waking once to nurse. Joel’s friends Vanessa, Dariel, and Justin came. So did Scooter, Alyssa and her friend Gabby, and Laurie and her good friend Angela. It was very fun! It was dark with black lights making the bowling balls, and anything white glow. They played loud dance music – a lot of fun 80’s stuff – and a laser show danced over the lanes in steam. There was a nice mix of other people bowling next to us. One time “The Macarena” song came on and Vanessa, Justin, and Scooter started doing The Macarena. Impulsively, a girl from the next lane jumped in. Then so did I, Laurie, Angela, Alyssa and Gabby. We had a dance line taking up 3 bowling lanes! Good times.

I also got to go swimming for the first time since being pregnant. It was fun watching Alyssa and her friends play Marco Polo in the pool. I remember playing that on hot summer days when I was her age.

We had a slight issue one day. All of a sudden I started smelling this awful smell in the kitchen. When I couldn’t find what it was coming from, I figured it was in the drains. Then we came home after a long day out and found it. A rat had died FAR under the sink! The smell was unbelievably horrid and it infiltrated most of the house. EEEW! I tried to work up the nerve to get it, but I couldn’t. Thankfully, Joel saved us. He threw it out while we hid in the bedroom. We doused the area with disinfectant and aired out the house while we went out.

Tami just called. We are off to pick her up!
