I've been really busy putting together designs for my graphics design business. It's fun, I just hope it goes somewhere - especially since I like the way it fills my day and gives me something to do.

Probably some time this weekend I'll try my hand at doing some hand drawn graphics using my new Bamboo tablet. We've got it figured out now I think and it seems to be functioning pretty well, so I'll try some 'free hand' drawing.

I haven't had the tablet plugged into the computer for about a week, not since the power started going off and on my computer last weekend. It's not good for delicate electronics like that to keep powering off and on with surges, so I unplugged it. But since we plugged my computer into a family room plug it's been doing just fine.

I got a reply to my most recent attempt at getting Canadian indian status the other day. I gave them my lineage all the way back to the mid-1800s and what do they tell me? 'Just because someone lived near the reservation doesn't mean they were of the tribe.' Excuse me? You're supposed to give those names to the tribe and let them check if they were on the rolls at that time! I've already told you that I'm registered for the US branch of the tribe, so you'd think there'd have to be some overlap of bloodlines since they're only about an hour's drive apart!

I'm going to see about doing more research on my great grandmother's background. I believe she was born in Canada. We'll see...
