I played much go last night. I played a few 9x9 and a 13x13 with against a new go player with high handicaps. It's quite an experience being on the other side of a handicap.

I then played a full 19x19 with Ryan (it was his birthday, so he was allowed to stay past 10). I've lost the last 3 or 4 games with him, at a 3 stone handicap, so I took 4 this time. I won the game solidly, but he was not that happy with the quality of his play. I think we'll stick with 4 stones for a few games, but I think I could take him with 3.

I talked with Joe about private go lessons. We'll work out the details tonight, and hopefully I can start this weekend.

I'm a web developer for NOVICA. I'm fascinated by languages, even though I only speak English and a little Spanish. I can count in Korean and have numerous language and linguistics books. I'm living within walking distance of CSUN where I share an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 cats. I'm happy. I write sporadically (I really need to finish that short story), with every intention of making a living at it at an undisclosed point in the future. I taught physics at Emperor's College Winter Term 2008. I love games and stories and music and computers and science and "and."
