Skai is a reference to the Gene Wolf book that I've been plodding through over the last 6 months or so. The meat of this post though is sharing that Erin and I got a new apartment. It's in the same complex, but it's a REALLY neat space. It's a 2 story 1 bedroom 1.5 bath that is newly birthed from the metaphorical ashes of a tiny bachelor apartment. Everything is new. We slept there for the first time last night and it took less than 8 hours for the cat to transition from quivering behind the toilets to calmly surveying her new kingdom from the top of the kitchen cabinet.
