Gotta Love Dante

I found the perfect stone plaque to hang on my front door. "Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here." Hee, hee. Welcome to hell my friends.

I went to see a movie last night with my sisters, and we couldn't decide between School of Rock and Pirates of the Caribbean (sp?...lazy editor...BAD! BAD!). We decided on POTC since it will probably be out of the theaters in a week or two. I wasn't as thrilled with it as most people I know, but damn, Johnny Depp was in it. I'd take Depp with his long, beaded hair, rotten teeth, and smudged eyeliner over that wussy Orlando any day of the week. And don't even get me started on the whole Aragorn/Legolas argument. Legolas is prettier that most girls I know, and that's not a compliment. I prefer my men to look like men, thanks all the same.

After the movie I came home with the best intentions of beginning the transformation of my home. Instead I ended up green and sickly. I can't really explain it, but I barely had the strength or composure to peel myself off of the couch, turn of the lights, and stagger to my bedroom. I'm feeling slightly better this morning, so hopefully I'll get more done. Though now I'm torn. I've been looking through all of these decorating books and websites and can't decide what I want to do. Initially I was planning on a blue and white, sunny decorating scheme. Now I find myself looking through gargoyle catalogs, thinking about decorating with gargs, candles, celtic art, and black and white photos. I don't know what to do...the two definately do NOT go together. Guess I'll just start cleaning and hope for inspiration to strike before I go paint shopping.

Though I did find a pretty cool Lady of Shallot carving that I absolutely must have. I'm a sucker for Tennyson. This discovery let me to go home and dig through my books to read some old favorites before the movie. One of my favorites? Byron's Don Juan...his cracks on the unintelligible Wordsworth still make me snort with laughter. I'm such a nerd...
