2004-03-25 2:04 PM No Co-Worker Left Behind Remember taking standardized tests in grade school and junior high?
Remember how the teacher had to go REALLY slow and read all the directions out loud? Step by step? Taking what seemed like hours to get names written and corresponding bubbles blacked with #2 lead pencils. Remember how long it took to get names, addresses, grade levels, and teachers names in the blocks, because GOD FORBID anyone move on to the next section, even if it only asked if you were a male or a female, without having the teacher scream, "DON'T WORK AHEAD!"? And remember how nomatter how basic the test forms were, how slowly the class went, how many times the teacher read the instructions, and how many times she went around the room to check that everything was filled out correctly, some MORON always filled out the bubbles incorrectly? Or some stupid girl with pigtails would raise her hand and ask a question that had already been asked and answered at least a dozen times? Or someone would fill it out wrong and we'd have to wait for the teacher to correct the mistake and go around the classroom to make sure that nobody else made the same mistake? Do you remember getting as aggravated and impatient as I did with the numbskulls who took ages to fill out the form incorrectly, asked thousands of idiotic questions, held the class up, made you get in trouble for working ahead, and generally displayed their incompetence at every possible opportunity? Well, those kids have grown up. And they all work with me. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
