Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"I'm trying to cause people to be interested in the particulars of their lives because I think that's one thing literature can do for us. It can say to us: pay attention. Pay closer attention. Pay stricter attention to what you say to your son." - Richard Ford

Music of the Day:
The birds singing, barking dogs, cars going by on the street, sound from the television, and Bailey's snoring

Before I could get tangled in any of my stuff, I got dressed and went for my walk. It is beautiful out today. It was warm and sunny. I soon had my hoodie off and tied around my waist.

I am taking advantage of this good weather because the meteorologist is predicting rain for the end of the week. All week the prediction is changing so I don't know what kind of weather we will have.

Boy, am I huffing and puffing today. My route was down 10th Street to El Morro; El Morro to 7th Street; 7th Street to Ramona and then onto 9th Street and to home. It took me an hour to make this loop. I would say this is a pretty good walk since I am going up and down hills. I saw some pretty cute homes and one in particular looked like it was from the jungle. They had an ornamental wooden gate which was open; there was a waterfall from the second floor down to the ground floor. There was landscaping. I also saw an elephant - I couldn’t tell if it was topiary or something else. There were other animals which I don't remember what they were.

Another plus, I stopped in at Classy Cuts because I saw Paola's car in the parking lot. I went in and said hi to her and her co-worker. I don't remember the co-worker's name. Paola looked well and has a new do since I last saw her.

Then I saw Elaine while she was doing outside stuff. I got my second hug of the morning with Paola's being the first. Elaine and I chatted. Elaine was glad to see me out and about.

And last but not least, as I was crossing over Santa Ynez, I saw Ed in his car as he was heading for home. I wonder if he went to the food bank at the community center this morning. Anyway, I said hi and wished him a good day.

I was so ready to be home. I can tell I have been active today!

I did see one guy walking who had a T-shirt on and he had tattoos of skulls on his upper left arm. I said, "Nice tats." Which he replied, "Thanks." And kept walking. If I had been thinking quicker, I should have inquired where he got them done.

Oh well, I energized now.

I had some breakfast, cottage cheese, and apple and a green fruit we don't know for sure what it is. I peeled it and cut it up. It tastes like a kiwi but that isn't what it is.

To finish out my morning, after watching Simply Ming, I washed my face, brushed me teeth, and put some make-up on. Whoa, slow down there ma!
