Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

I wake up to sunshine. I like this. Another day in paradise! Little did I know how special this day was going to be!

Today is laundry day. While there, a cute little girl maybe around age three or four came in with her mother. She was cute until she opened her mouth; she was not happy about something her mother would not let her do and she began shrieking. In that building her shrieks were off the Richter scale. They made my ears hurt.

The angel that visited me was a little boy who appeared to be a couple of years older than the little girl. He had salt-water bleached hair from what I could see of it. He had on a wet suit hood; around his shoulders was a hanging cloth calendar which looked like a cape and he had regular clothes on. I inquired if he was a knight and he replied no. I asked if he was a super hero and he said no. Then he pulled the cloth calendar around and from one of the little pockets he brought forth a sea shell and offered it to me. He said that I did not need to pay him for it and off he went. I do believe I have been visited by an angel. When he came back around I offered him a stick of gum which he took with a smile. His mum said to say thank you and he did. Granted he offered the shell as a gift but I felt it fair to offer something in return. Good or bad it was a pleasant experience.

Instead of doing my usual morning routine today, we get up and get ready to do the food banks. Besides King's Cupboard there is the SLO County food bank over on Los Olivos.

At King's Cupboard, we get our turkey and the basics for a turkey dinner. So we are set there. At the SLO County food bank we get a chicken, yea! Plus dried and canned goods and lots of good veggies and fruit. We have four containers of strawberries. I will clean and halve the strawberries for freezing. Yum. When we go to the food bank tomorrow we may be able to get a pie. Then we are all set for our dinner on Thursday.

Bailey was cute tonight. I poured from my water bottle a little water into my palm, he licked up the water. I did this about three times and he drank all the water. I have never done that with him before.

I hope everyone is getting their errands done and are not too frazzled by the hustle and bustle.
