Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

I don't know what time the rain began this morning but it was raining when we left the house at 6:15 a.m. to head for the food bank.

By the time we came back and left again to pick up our provisions, the rain had pretty much stopped. A few sprinkles for the rest of the day but I feel the rain is done with us here on the Central Coast. However, it is overcast and coolish out this morning.

I don't know why I didn't see this "moon" quote when I wrote yesterday's entry. This quote would have been perfect.

Bailey is in the proverbial "cat house." Yesterday when Michael was moving his coffee table with Bailey on it, Bailey jumped to get off and when he did, he took Michael's unfinished soda with him. Michael was not a happy camper.

Then sometime yesterday or last night, Bailey proceeded to spray Michael's side of the bed. Michael did not notice this until sometime during the night and so, once again, Michael is not a happy camper and is not happy with Bailey this morning.

Yesterday I was busy in the morning as well as in the evening. This meant I didn't have much reading time and so I did not finish a book. I have been averaging on the Patterson books in reading a book a day or every two days. It feels weird.

It was horrible to see the news last night and this morning about the two little Powell boys who died when their father burned down his house around them and killing himself as well. In this morning's news, it was stated that the boys appeared to have chop marks about their necks and head and a hatchet was found in the rubble. I was surprised that authorities did not listen to the maternal grandparents when they advised they were very worried about the safety of the boys. May those boys rest in peace with their mother.

The goody item from the food bank this morning was I received a small bouquet of white tulips. I have them in a tall dark vase sitting by my chair for me to enjoy. Now I will have to keep Bailey away from them as he likes to chew on the greenery when he can get away with it.

Everyone have a grand day.
