Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Writing is more than just the making of a series of comprehensible statements: it is the gathering in of connotations, the harvesting of them, like blackberries in a good season, ripe and heavy, snatched from among the thorns of logic." - Fay Weldon

I woke up to gray skies. The back patio was wet and the front walkway had patchy wet spots. I decided that since it wasn't raining I would get my walk in. I took a different route today. Only two slight hills but the horses were out. One was lying down until I came up to the fence. Then she stood up and came over to the fence and smelled my fingers. The second horse was in a separate pen. She was happy to see me and why do I know this? She was smiling. Yes, she had her teeth showing. I wish I could have had a better position so I could have taken her photo. She was so funny looking.

The rest of the day was spent doing housework, paying bills and trying to catch up on e-mails. I am so behind. A friend called and asked me to ride to the meeting tonight and I said yes. With the week I have had, I needed a meeting. It was raining/sprinkling when I left home and upon my return. I do believe the rain is here.
