Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"What I was resisting, of course, was the seduction upon which writing rests." - Nancy Mairs

This morning while waiting to get my number in line for the food bank distribution, I saw a covey of quail walking up the walkway at the perimeter of the property. The head male was in the lead, quickly checking for dangers to his family. As usual to any group there was one quail lagging behind. I wonder if it was a teenager. You know how much they hate to appear to belong to you.

The sun is up and it is a gorgeous day out. We will head into SLO-town to do some errands and then back home again. I just began a new book and it has me hooked.

Still no word from the maintenance department, now Michael is being told that the part is back-ordered. What? I was told it had just come in. Oooh, my irritation meter is rising again today. Fortunately for all concerned I did not space on my morning medications like I did yesterday.

I was so bad yesterday morning I even got Michael perturbed.

So, I shall go about my day and not think about our oven not being repaired. By now, they could have installed a new one. And they think we are pesky tenants because we are keeping on top of them.
