I am now officially in the "I Hate Gophers Club." Here's my reason why:



My potato plant used to be healthy looking until the monster moved in. See the height of that hill right next to the plant? Geesh, I hadn't even put out a "For Rent" sign.



This here is what is left of my pumpkin plant. When I went out to the garden today to check on the plant I find there is only one little limb sticking out of the earth.

Our small vegetable garden is gone. I can't tell if the gopher has gone for the Roma tomato plant yet. In today's viewing the garden space, the tomato plant is looking healthy and still blooming but I noticed a small hillock of dirt.

Please of Goddesses of the vegetable garden; keep the gopher away from the tomato plant.

Now I know why people have complained about the earth dwelling creature.

I'm trying to keep a good thought about this situation but it is really hard. Those could have been vegetables we could have eaten. Then again, our veggies have fed another being.

It's all in the cycle of things? I want to be mad and yet I feel astonishment that my little plot of earth surrounded by concrete has been found by an earth dweller.

Life goes on whether I want it to or not.
