Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Everything you want also wants you." - Jack Canfield

Last night Michael and I got motivated to look at all of our pictures in boxes. We began bringing some out to determine which wall they will look good on.

One puzzling thought is where to hang my baby pictures. These photos have been following me to wherever I have moved. Sure, I was a cute little girl and I am wearing my favorite blue dress. One set of photos, baby pictures, I have only smiles. The other set, I'm about five-years-old and have only a couple of tentative smiles. The rest of them I'm holding in whatever it is I am feeling.

It has crossed my mind to throw them out and sell the frames. I don't feel ready to let go of this cute little girl and send her out into the world.

What have you done with old photos of yourselves dear reader?

Michael has hung up some of my photographic pictures; one of the ocean breaking on rocks and the other of a piece of drift wood sticking straight up in the sand in the dawn. This particular photo won me best of show in a local art show.

Anyhow, with some photos on the wall, we are slowly making the apartment ours.

Speaking of "our" apartment, after all that headache of collecting financial documents for the housing authority to reassess our rent for the year, they did bring the rent down a few dollars. Not much but every little bit helps.

Yesterday, we got into the gardening mode. For the afternoon we spent time transplanting plants into bigger pots. Looking at them today, it seems they all survived the move.

Bailey, of course, came out for awhile and walked around but I could tell he wanted to jump to the top of the fence. Since I don't have his collar on him nor does he have his rabies shots, I don't want him out on his own in our neighborhood.

I noticed I need to clean the corner of my potted garden. There is lots of seed chaff and dead leaves collecting in and around the pots. I just love the fact there is always something to do outside.

I at least get some outdoor time.

Happy Sunday everyone.
