Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"When God made time, He made enough of it." - Celtic Saying

Right now we have a situation and a temporary situation.

I say a situation instead of a problem because a situation has more of a positive connotation than a problem does.

This is where if I speak positively about life and the things happening in it. Thinking in a positive tone keeps me from being tied up in knots. Our perspective of anything is within our control as long as we keep an open mind.

Anyway, our little Mazda truck has developed a shimmy to it. The check engine light has come on but it doesn't tell him what to check. He has changed out the plugs and the truck is working fine but the shimmy comes and goes. One possibility has been put to rest. Michael feels it could be water in the gasoline. He's going over to the storage unit to get gasoline additive to take care of that issue.

Michael also thinks it could be a sensor mucking up and the only way to find out is to take it to a mechanic and have the truck's system hooked up to a diagnostic. That costs money of which we have none at the moment. This leaves Michael doing research and talking to friends to find a solution.

I hate it that vehicles have become so high tech that one cannot work on one's vehicle. Shoot I can remember when I did most all of my own wrenching on my vehicles from changing the oil, air filters, and spark plugs. I also kept a roll of electrician's tape with me because it comes in handy when hoses were the concern. That tape has gotten me home many a time when a hose split.

What I couldn't do, I did have a boyfriend or a male friend around to assist me in the tinkering.

The temporary situation for a positive mind for last night was our NBS stations didn't have a strong enough signal to come through. It was an "oh dear," "s*&%T," and other expletives I'll not mention here. We were prepared to watch our weekly ration of "Grimm. My favorite character is Munroe who is a friend of Nick Burkhardt, a Grimm.

Anyway, I accepted the fact we weren't going to see this week's installment. Michael remembered they always do an encore later in the week. With this knowledge we went back to watching the first season of "Deadwood" set in Deadwood, South Dakota.

I have actually been to Deadwood. It was the year 2000, Michael and I rode our motorcycles to Sturgis, South Dakota. Deadwood was on our way there. The one thing I didn't do and wish I did was stop at the cemetery to see Wild Bill Hickok's head stone as well as Calamity Jane's.

Oh well, it is a trip to look forward to.

Once again, it is up to positive thinking.

The Surprise Photo has Arrives

I don't know what it is about this photo but I find it most calming. The chair is pretty weathered and I'm not sure it would hold the weight of a person. However, it is inviting. So I hope you like it:

Thus, the day moves along.
