Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

For some reason the last two nights Michael has had insomnia. I am grateful that he has been quiet as he has puttered in the wee hours of the morning. But, to put it bluntly, I hate it when he arises before I do. It throws my whole morning off.

Such as this morning, I'm no sooner out of bed and he is handing me my breakfast. It was a great breakfast but I had not checked my blood sugar or taken my medications. Now I will need to wait two hours after my meal to do the testing.

After watching "Meet the Press," I needed to do some writing and catch up on my e-mails. I know there are folks out there waiting for a response from me.

But first, did anyone see David Gregory of Meet the Press interview Governor Romney? I'm sure he is a good family man. However, there is something about him I just don't trust. I cannot put a finger on it. One thing I did realize that in all of these talks, there is lots of talk about taking care of the middle class - what about the rest of us who live on a fixed income and are down right poor. What is he going to do for these two groups of people?

Okay, off of my soap box, and back to the home front, that man of mine has been a twister around here. He has scrubbed the kitchen sinks till they shine. Shoot, we need sunglasses when we enter the kitchen. The kitchen is all cleaned up and the counters are in order. All of this makes my job easier of cleaning up after a meal.

This afternoon he began work on the back patio and cleaned and threw out (there's that word again - throw) the cracked plastic pots and dead plants. He swept the patio and replaced the living plants along the wall since this area receives more sun than any where else back there. He even made a hanging plant out of one of my plants. We had the hanger but no plant for it until now.

He also has preparations for dinner started. What he is doing now, I have no idea. Although, I am grateful for the quiet around me it worries me as to what is he up to now.

I'm going to call it a day, check up on my guy, and go take a nap.

Happy Sunday.
