Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

I don't know if it was the new med, overload from research on the smartphone, or just one of my days. My day yesterday was a day of crap. I was mildly irritable, felt like I was bubble-wrapped, and needed a day to myself.

Michael was in a DJ-type mood and played all the songs I loved and before I knew it the tears were streaming. I had a good cry and felt so much better afterwards. I can't remember the last time I cried.

Even with the cry, I still felt fragile and spent my day at home. I watched movies with Michael and read both of my books. To top it off, I had a bag of pretzels (I am addicted to them - hmmm, this sounds like a good lyric to a song!) and a diet soda. These two hit the spot. Of course, Bailey was in my lap in an attempt to make me feel good which he did.

So today, we both wake up at 7 a.m. and go for our morning walk.

Back at home, we have breakfast thanks to that man of mine. This gets the juices flowing. Michael hung some photos and did some general cleaning to assist me. While he was doing his thing, I got busy and I worked on the bathroom. Michael installed hooks to hold the dust pan/brush and my Swiffer in the bathroom.

Getting the stuff off the floor, I was able to get next to the tub to do some cleaning with my toothbrush to scrub the accumulated dust and kitty litter dust from the corner and along the side of the tub. Just this little bit of cleaning has brightened the bathroom.

We are attempting to get rid of the clutter in our home so I cleaned off my side of the sink by finding space in the medicine cabinet for my make-up things.

I wish I could remember to take the "before" photos.

Clutter has been my nemesis for as long as I can remember. With Michael providing inspiration with his uncluttering, I am finding I am uncluttering too. It sure makes cleaning a lot easier.

Well, with another day under my belt, I think I shall step away from the computer. I really do try to shut down by 5 p.m. but it doesn't always happen.
