Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." - Helen Keller
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Have you ever asked yourself this question?

It has come up a couple of times over the years in my life.

1. Boys
2. Parents' divorce
3. Baby
4. Bankruptcy
5. Working for alcoholic bosses
6. Diagnosed with mental illness
7. Nervous breakdown 2x
8. Two suicide attempts
9. Being homeless
10. Diagnosed with diabetes type 2
11. Alcoholic parents

Well more than a couple by all accounts.

This is just a few of the things that have come in my short life. When I'm at my lowest is when I ask this question. Helen Keller is a phenomenal example of taking charge and living her life.

While pondering this question, I came across "Why Me Lord" by my man Kris Kristofferson.

Which I present to you from You Tube:

Through my program I have learned "why not me." Because of how I have handled my life, is an example of experience, strength and hope of coming through on the other side a little stronger. The quote above gives strength because if it was easy, what on earth would we learn?

We have to remember we are a role model for all who cross our path. Let's get out there and be shining examples of how we fall down, pick ourselves up and dust off our seats, and give it a go again.

The Weather Report

I am really ticked off about this weather. If it is going to rain then just do it!

Michael was to help his friend at the swap meet this morning. They showed but no one was there because they didn't open up because of this impending rain.

It was wet outside this morning. By the time I was ready to sit down to the computer, I could see the sky was that dull gray blue color. The wind was up because the tips of the branches were trouncing the air around them.

The small birds were all puffed up and going for food when there was a break in the wind. We did have the slider open at times but not for very long before we could feel the cool air creeping into the house.

Our rain gauge registered a little less than an inch and a quarter of rain. At times it has appeared to be sprinkling. I don't know what else in store since I haven't seen the local weather.

Let's All Go to the Swap Meet

What a waste of a morning for Michael. He could have stayed and slept in. Instead I wake up with the impression I was to have the apartment to myself; instead I hear noises. When I arise at 8:30 a.m., I find Michael in the kitchen preparing breakfast.

Hot dog! No, we didn't eat hot dogs but we did have bacon, eggs, and fried potatoes.

For our entertainment we watch the movie, "Rock of Ages" with Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta Jones, Mary J. Blige, and Alex Baldwin. Quite a movie! Cruise is over the top. If he actually sang all of those songs I am truly amazed.

After the movie we moved to the computers. I began this entry and downloaded some music. I am so amazed at the changes at IMDb and at You Tube. I really hate change and wish they wouldn't do it. They could at least send me a notice that they were changing.

End of Day

Looking out the window I do believe I see some blue sky out there. Maybe there will not be any storm tonight or tomorrow. We are getting ready for Sunday Night Football. Another fun reason to hoop and holler since tomorrow we had best get to business and to some serious writing and housecleaning. Michael made a comment tonight that he thought we just might be hoarders. Me, who would thunk it.
