Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Love is the free exercise of choice. Two people love each other only when they are quite capable of living without each other but choose to live with each other." - M. Scott Peck

In the last couple of weeks, I have had pain in my left hip and down into my left ankle. The two times it has happened was early in the morning while still in bed. Ouch!

After that I brought an extra pillow to bed to place between my knees and this helped. Last night I had gotten up and then came back to bed but didn't put the pillow between my knees. Oh man, that hurt. Once the pillow was in place, the pain went away. I don't know what this is but it is going to be brought up the next time I see the doc.

I'm also noticing my shoulders are up to my ear lobes. All day long I have to acknowledge, accept and with the aid of deep breathing, bring my shoulders down where they are supposed to be.

I am just falling a part here. Today that dear man and I watched a program regarding tai chi and we are considering checking out the library for a beginners DVD. I have done tai chi once and I liked it but didn't have the funds to keep it going.

Today the temps are supposed to be up around 63 degrees. Whoopee! There is some wind. Which brings the music of the wind chimes.

In my daily readings of inspirational thought, I came across the focus of fear:

The acronym is:

False
Evidence
Appearing
Real

I have been fearful a good portion of my life. A lot of those fears never came to fruition, thank heavens. But think of all the time I wasted with worry.

I heard the other night at a meeting this saying:

If you pray, why worry?
And, if you worry, why pray?

I believe this works into faith. Being able to say our prayers and then letting go and giving our fear to the higher power of our understanding.

This is why I keep a prayer box. I can write out my fears and place them in the box; literally placing them in the Goddess' hands. I, then, can go about my day handling other things.

It always amazes me that after a time, I have forgotten about the fear/worry and it has been taken care of and I have been calm and not all tied up in knots.

This is all easier said than done as they say, but through experience I have found it truly does work. We need to do the footwork and the rest will take care of itself.

We are going to go see the "Hobbit" today. Therefore I need to go get dressed.

Have a great day everyone.
