Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Mr. F had a run in last night with a hot pepper. He cooked one up on the stove and removed the seeds.

The one thing he forgot to do was to wash his hands with soap and water when he finished up.

Later in the evening while watching television he rubbed his eyes and they were immediately on fire. We got him into the bathroom and washed his hands and rinsed his eyes out until they stopped burning.

I remind everyone to either wear rubber gloves or immediately wash your hands after preparation of the pepper as they can hurt you.

I did this once while wearing contacts and let me tell you, I never did it again with or without contacts.

I had a small taste of the pepper and my tongue was still burning a half hour after tasting. As much as I like peppers this one was too HOT!

Instead of my usual walk today, I went up the street to South Bay. It still ends up being a little over a mile. I had to go to the pharmacy for some diabetic medication.

Gosh, it was beautiful outside. Another sunny day in the neighborhood. I've been walking every day for two weeks. Maybe Rhubarb's spirit is shining down on me to give me the energy.

Today was laundry day. I had to pick up some more liquid laundry soap only to find out when I took the container out of the truck that the bottle had a puncture in it and there was one- to two-tablespoons of soap on the floor of the truck. Oh man. When I took it back for replacement the checker I had said that it was probably because they had me take the jug out in the cart and that's how it became punctured. Yeah right.

Anyway, laundry (one load) is done for today. I will do more on Thursday. Since I don't have much energy I can only do a load at a time. I'm going to check out the other laundromat in Baywood Park and see what it is like. Hopefully not as busy during the day and cleaner. The other thing I learned is the company had raised the price by another 50 cents on the large washers. Don't they know the economy is in the pits?

Anyway, I may not be around tomorrow as my dear Mr. F is having a medical procedure done in another city and I need to go to be his driver home. Like I wouldn't go if he didn't a driver. Nothing biggie just a regular procedure one has to do after they hit 60. It's just so much fun getting older doncha know.

Well I'm off to spend some quality time with my loved one.
