Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

A Change of Pace

Living with the mental disorders that I do, I live by routine. It helps keep me steady most of the time. However, a little change up can help me with my days.

Every day I wake up with dread and anxiety of what I will have to deal with during the day. This morning was different. I still woke up feeling awful but that darling husband of mine invited me to stay in bed to snuggle. Then he got me laughing when he did his cartoon voices and telling me jokes. Okay, so I didn't begin my day with my usual morning walk. When I did get out of bed I felt okay.

We shared a cup of our respective drinks of the morning - him a cup of coffee and me a cup of tea. After this we went to the food bank.

After putting food away, we walked to the library to return DVDs and check out new ones. So I got my walk in and had the company of that man of mine.

I found this pretty bouquet of mushrooms.

We had an easy afternoon but I was in the mood to put together the turkey pot pie I had planned to make yesterday. It turned out well except we used our leftover gravy instead of making the filling prescribed in the recipe. It is dryer than if I had prepared the filling but a learning curve for me in cooking.

Here is the end result with a couple of pieces missing.

Thus the day ends. Considering how my day began I have lots of gratitude.
