Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Day Two Without a TV

It still hasn't set in that we are TV-less. When I woke up this morning I could have sworn I heard Mr. F listening to the Today program. What a bummer to remember the TV is in repair. Although instead of being sent off to Tennessee for fixing today, Mr. F got an e-mail that it was sent out yesterday. However, they say we may not get it back until the 24th of this month. Ugh, but then, maybe I will get a lot of book reading done in that time.

That said, we are going to check in with a friend to see if she has an extra TV we can borrow until ours is returned.

The other excitement we had is I got a nosebleed. We think it is because of the cold and the heat from the wall heater. I used some saline solution for my nose, head back and pressure did the trick.

For something different today, I'm using a meme I grabbed from l'empress at A Place of My Own:

1. What would you totally eat right now?

Actually nothing since Mr. F just fed me a fried egg and some potatoes with shredded cheese.

2. Do you always wear a certain piece of jewelry?
Wedding ring, of course. Whatever ring that fits my fingers since my fingers puff up and down. Any of my necklaces that Mr. F has gifted me with over the years.

3. What kind of jeans do you like?
Wranglers.

4. What's something on your want list?
A toaster.

5. Is animal print tacky?
I'm not crazy about it. Some women can pull it off but it's not for me.

6. Give me a good quote that you like.
When written in Chinese, the word 'crisis' is composed of two characters. One represents danger and the other represents opportunity. -- John F. Kennedy

7. Do you bite your nails?
I used to when I would be hit with anxiety. I have since self-willed myself not to do it any more.

8. What kind of smells do you like?
Lavender and rosemary.

9. Do you wear perfume or cologne?
Not much any more but my favorite for many years is Magi Noir by Lancome.

10. What do you think is overrated?
Rich people (like the Kardashians), our government and actors.

11. Next movie you want to see?
The latest Hobbit movie that is or has come out. I would also like to see Philomena with Dame Judy Dench and Mary Poppins with Tom Hanks.

12. Would you change your eye color if you could?
No, I'm happy with the color they are which is blue but they sometimes change color with what I wear.

13. And what are your goals for the remainder of this year?
To keep taking care of myself and to get through just one day at a time.

14. When is the last time you were at the hospital?
A couple of months ago when I was having trouble due to a medication I was taking.

15. Who introduced you to your current significant other?
My motorcycle. I had fallen over in the street while making a left hand turn and he was the one who came to my rescue.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
