Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Merry Christmas Eve

Another rough morning but with a pep talk from the mister, I got dressed and headed out the door.

Wow, sunshine, yeah, I know I am sounding like a broken record. Weather people say it is to be in the mid 70s. Actually it made it into the high 70s. Talk about T-shirt and shorts weather.

I see lots more vehicles in driveways and those with out-of-state license plates. Friends and family are arriving to good weather.

I did get a photograph of my favorite visiting dog to the area, Clyde. Here is one of him and his dad.

Bodie and Clyde the Dog

Clyde goes to work with his dad who is a building contractor. I would see them at different residences in the neighborhood. The last time I saw them, I kicked myself for not asking for a photograph. So, I wasn't going to not ask this time. But, you see what I mean about T-shirt and shorts?

We did errands in the morning upon my return from my walk. The sunshine did feel good. Our cupboards are full from the food bank so we have a variety of foods to eat over this holiday time.

I got in a second walk today as I went to the grocery store to get some food for Bailey. This time when I checked my smart phone temperature feature it said it was 78 degrees. Oh man!

One nice thing about going to the store when I did was I got to say Merry Christmas to some of the staff I like and then I ran into a former co-worker whom I haven't seen in a couple of years. It was good to catch up with what we have been doing. It does pay to get outside the house.

I also called my Uncle Andy in Colorado. He says he is snowed in but will be going to his daughter's house tomorrow to share in some sandwiches.

When I was a very little girl I was going to marry Uncle Andy as I thought he was the best. He and my Dad were the best of friends.

I send out prayers to all of you who are snowed in, without power and some without water. May you stay warm and the lights and water come back on soon. That you are together with your loved ones is an answer to my prayer.

I think of you always.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
