A New Kid on the Block

Out and about on my walk today, I came across a new mailbox. It is a cheerful one and what fun to look forward to mail.
Today's walking practice was mindful walking. I know I have written of this before. The practice is being totally conscious of feeling my whole foot sole from heel to toe press on the pavement. If I could handle being barefoot I feel it would be easier to do. During all of this I am paying attention to my breathing. Wow, it is a lot to think about. However, in doing so I notice that it cancels out the ongoing dialogue that usually is going on in my head and drives me crazy.
I also noticed the roar of the ocean, refreshing fresh air and the birds singing in the trees and bushes.
Today's cleaning project in anticipation for our annual home inspection was to bleach the counters on each side of the sink. I have been taking this in sections. One so that I am not overwhelmed and two, cut down on the bleach smell as it bothers Michael a great deal. Working with bleach, I have all of the windows open and the fans going which helps keep the bleach smell at a minimum. Tomorrow I will be able to finish up the rest of the counters and be able to move onto something different.
Another day of sunshine but the temperatures are lower. I seem to recall from last night's weather report that today's temps were 68 degrees. Still, compared to other areas of the country, this is balmy.
This has been my day thus far. I hope yours is going as well. If not, I send you my prayers.
