Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

This is from what if this is as good as it gets

w.w.w. wednesdays

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

- What are you currently reading? Philip Pullman's "The Amber Spyglass His Dark Materials - Book III." This is the final book in the trilogy of the "Golden Compass."

- What did you recently finish reading? "The Subtle Knife - Book II."

- What do you think you'll read next? I'll finish reading the "Writers and Their Houses" edited by Kate Marsh. I started this and then got started on the "Golden Compass" books. I can't stand to have an unread book.

We had a late lunch yesterday and so by dinner time I wasn't that hungry. I told Mr. F I was desiring something light.

Well, this is what he came up with for me:

Dinner Anyone?

Dinner Anyone?

I was so surprised by his choice of plates. Until he brought it down to where I could see the inside of the dish, I had thought he had prepared a whole bunch of food. Imagine my sigh of relief.

On the menu was the following:

- Chunks of smoked tofu
- Sliced tomatoes with shredded cheese
- Two slices of a baguette spread with cream cheese
- A bowl of cottage cheese with sliced sweet pickles
- Sliced cheese

This was so delicious and just the right amount. Mr. F said the size of the bowl gave him room to arrange the food in an artistic nature. He takes such good care of me.

Last night I waited to take my night time meds late because I wanted to see Matt Damon on the Jay Leno show. Matt is so laid back and seems like a regular guy. He would be someone I would like to have as a friend.

Second show was Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He had Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on and I love Bruce. I was amazed how well Jimmy could mimic Bruce with singing a song about Chris Cristie and the GWBridge mess. Then Bruce came out to finish up the song with Jimmy.

So, I then took medications and went to bed at 1:30 a.m. This is terrible late for me but I thought I would just sleep later in the morning.

I did fall asleep but then woke up with a full blown panic attack. I knew I had been dreaming but nothing stuck so I don't know what I was all in a dither about. All I know was I did not feel well when I woke up. It took most of all morning for the feeling to wear off.

It is 4:24 p.m. there is still light out. I love this.

However I still feel off and dread the thought of going to bed. I don't know if I will sleep or have a repeat of last night. This is something I will have to bring to the attention of the pdoc.

Our day was sunshine and warm temperatures. We did some errands in SLO-town. This helped to take my mind off of things but I feel tired.

Big news in our county was yesterday afternoon a single engine plane went down in the water off the coast of a neighboring town. The pilot has been found as well as wreckage from the plane. At this point the officials don't know if there was anyone else in the plane. I will be watching the news to see what has aspired today.

Oh well, this is it for me for today.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
