Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Do you remember gas stations when the attendant would pump your gas, wash your windows and windshield, check the oil level, and the pressure of your tires?

Oh for the days. I was in my early 20s before I had to pump my own gas. I was a nervous wreck that first time. Now I don't think a thing about it.

My favorite gas station when I was a child was the Sinclar Gas Stations.

I seem to recall seeing them when we were living in Port Richey, Florida. Though in doing research I am only finding the Sinclar stations in the Mid West.

My draw to these stations was the green dinosaur mascot. I felt so lucky the time my parents bought me the inflatable dinosaur toy.

Gas stations of this nature are a thing of the past with the fast paced stations of today. I guess I am showing my age in liking to be waited on and knowing the name of the attendant taking care of my car.

A trip down my memory lane.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA
