Feeling it was still early for a Sunday morning. <br> <br>I was at the laudromat a little after 9 a.m. To my dismay, all the parking places in front were full and the place was packed. <br> <br>Lucky for me the one washer I like to use when I have a large load was available. So I was able to get my load going and I went over to sit and read my book. <br> <br>Then I remembered I didn't take my pill medications but fortunately, I had taken my diabetic medication first thing. Oh well, first thing when I arrive home. <br> <br>Another lucky for me, Michael was up and he carried in the basket for me. <br> <br>I am pooped now. <br> <br>Michael prepared me breakfast and that put my lights out and I had a three hour name. My other project will have to wait until tomorrow. <br> <br>Before falling asleep I watched the hockey game between New York Islanders and the Pittsburg . . . I can think of what their logo is. They went into overtime and Pittsburg won this game. I saw just the very first of the the Chicago and Minnesota and then I fell asleep. <br> <br>Then I wake to "Flash Dance" and Bailey bugging me to feed him but it was only 5 p.m. and he eats at 6 p.m. I swear the way he acts he's a starving kitty only he had had breakfast and lunch plus there is dry food for him to munch on. I have no desire to meet any other denizens of my back patio. <br> <br>Me and the guys are taking it easy today. I have my nose into James Patterson's "11th Hour" with the premise so far as a vigilante is killing drug dealers. Whoo doggies that was a huge lizard. It had a larger tail than most and was approximately six inches in lenghth. Michael tells me they are an aggressive critter. I can see I need to weed my little garden area. <br> <br> The tired and sore comes from helping a friend clean her bathroom and bedroom for painting. A breeze is singing through my wind chimes. Michael is out and about and when he called in he said there was a light sprinkle in the air. <br> <br> In an attempt to move from depression I did two years of paperwork filing yesterday. Two paper sacks worth of hoarding went to the recycle bin. <br> <br> Today I am working on the kitchen by putting dirty dishes in the dishwasher; followed up by sweeping and washing the floor. It was cool out and the marine layer in. I could feel water droplets in the air. These are what I call Angel kisses. On our (me and Michael) found lovely blue daisies which Michael picked one stem. They are awfully pretty. No fragrance though. <br> <br>The food bank was bountiful in that we had a good selection of greens, a bar of soap, and three dozen eggs. I knew we would have gotten two dozen but since next Tuesday is the fifth one of the month, the bank shall be closed. Whoo, hoo, a Tuesday morning to sleep in. <br> <br>Of course, I have my annual check up next week, hence the lab work. I will be curious what will and won't be found. <br> <br>Michael is out visiting the neighbor and I have some peace and quiet in the apartment. But no, the place is packed. I was able to get one of the large washers. Yes,there are miracles. Although parking was for naught and I had to park away from the door. <br> <br>When I left the marine layer was in and it was cool but not uncomfortable. This changed by the time I left. I watched a movie on the evolution of maritime vessels. It was very informative and since I live with a Navy guy, a double interest. <br> <br>I finished up one of the sample free books, which wasn't very good. But, it was fun reading it on my smart phone. I began another but it ended quite shortly and began into another story. So, not good. It's been a few days with my nose in a book and snoozing. Michael is having a time of it now with his back going out. Yesterday, I told Michael about the last time I thought about suicide by drowning in the bathtub. Of course, this upsets him but thankfully, it was only a thought on my part. <br> <br>I have really been overcome by the nastiness of the neighbors and getting the housing authority involved. This also brought out my malice, which I am not ashamed of but it really isn't me. I just want to a nice quiet life and not be bothered or bother anyone. <br> <br>After yesterday's revelation, I have not felt like doing much of anything today. I have been sleeping a lot. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel much better. I hope so since I have an art date with a friend of mine. <br> <br>For me, the only thing accomplished today and with Michael's assist was to clean out and give Bailey a new litter box. While Michael is sweeping up the bathroom floor, Bailey is trying out the new box. Michael couldn't believe it but this is what Bailey does to me every time I clean the box daily including the monthly box do over. <br> <br>The another refuge in my home is my queen's chair, which is very comfortable and I armchair travel, read, and do my art. Let me not forget, I take my naps there as well. <br> <br>Another place I consider a refuge is the sanctuary. Mostly I see my books. I have lots of them. This is why I need to stay away from the library since I have so many books here at home I want to read. Another reason is there is plenty of room there to do yoga and weight lifting. Whenever I have meditated there, there is a slight hint of incense lingering in the room. It's nice to take a nap in there as well. <br> <br>And, when there isn't a branch crashing through the fence, I have my bench to rest on to nap or to read my books. This is the one place I can sit and do nothing but daydream. I spent at least the day before planning on whom a joke would be played and what the joke would be. When they played out the way I wanted them too, what fun it was. It was fun even with the jokes played on me. <br> <br>Now, I cannot remember the last time I played a joke on anyone. Maybe Michael and telling him we were expecting. Oh, the look on his face was priceless. However it seems the older I get, the less I care about playing pranks on Michael or my friends. The best I feel is to call everyone and wish them a happy first. <br> <br>Our joke on us today was to be awakened by what sounded like a weed eater. Nope. It was a chain saw trimming trees. <br> <br>The joke was looking out on our back patio and finding a huge cedar tree branch covering the back left corner. The birdbath is knocked over, the top of the most decorative plank of the fence is torn off, the branch was bending over branches of my bamboo tree, and the potted plants in that corner were knocked over. Hmmm. Shall I take this in stride or become really angry? Considering the mess and the damage, I want to be angry but I feel I can get more done if I stay cool and collected. <br> <br>We took photos of the carnage and because I was the calmer of the two, I went to find the maintenance guys and told them of their dilemma. Within a few minutes one of them came to the apartment and was quite surprised about the branch. With the aid of his buddy on the other side of the fence, they moved the branch out of our patio without any more damage. I seems like it came early this year. With no kids in the family, it is a day to ourselves. <br> <br>Michael was inspired by the cooking bug and thus far has baked a turkey and now there are ribs on the grill. Ah, the house smells good. Plus, we have some fresh asparagus for a side. I believe the other side will be mashed potatoes. We did invite a friend but she had family coming over and declined our offer. This is okay with us as we were worried she was to be by herself. This is the friend whose husband recently passed. <br> <br>Although it rained last night, today the sun is out with a light breeze. A good day for a barbecue it is. I plan to go out later and sit in the sun for a little while. Maybe I may snooze for a little while. With Michael out there with me, he won't let me nap for too long. <br> <br>Later in the evening we did receive more rain, but still, not enough to move the rain gauge. My computer is still giving Michael fits. So, far the creepy neighbor lady is minding her own business. <br> <br>Since we received eggs from the food bank yesterday, Michael has been good enough to make us breakfast the last two days. Ooh there is nothing like eggs over easy with toast or fried potatoes. <br> <br>I've begun a third book now titled "Pencil Dancing" by Mari Messer. One of the exercises is to note the creative things I do. To put light on them so I am aware of them. The more I do this, the more often creativity visits me. <br> <br>Secondly, it asks me what I am afraid of. My two things are FEAR, and Perfection. Those two can trip me up so easily. Although now I am finding that for both of them, I am staring them down and do that which I am afraid of and not worry about being perfect. <br> <br>Most times, my work comes out perfectly and the more I look at it or read it, I like it more and more. This done makes me want to do more. <br> <br>I still have days when FEAR and Perfection loom large in my life and it is all I can do to take that first step. But, that is what I must do is to take that first step and the rest will come easily enough.
