Sometimes (perhaps often) stories are better with no introductory comment from me.
For those of you who are thinking "I should quit my day job and become a modern artist," just remember that the most absurd things you can think of have probably already been done. Painting of the Virgin Mary covered in dung? Check. (Or perhaps using dung as paint? I can't remember.) A lone urinal affixed to the wall of a gallery? Check. A bunch of used oil filters affixed to one another in a disheveled heap, on display at the Pasadena Art Center? Check. A pile of discarded candy wrappers swept into a corner of a room? Check (sold at a gallery for somewhere in the neighborhood of $60K, if memory serves). Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
