According to Reuters, the IgNobles have been awarded this year. If this was April 1st, the article would be highly suspect, but since it's not, and Reuters is usually a good news source, I can only assume the article is true.

My questions are: who in the world thought of this method for curing hiccups and how; who performed the study; who paid for it, and who were the volunteers? On second thought, I guess I know enough already. Good grief.
