My hair is on fire at work, but I wanted to pass along some links:

2. An interesting article from LA Times about a park that is two blocks from our house.
3. An interesting article from the LA Times about the "father" of the ICBM, who is still alive at 93 (he's the R of TRW). One of the buildings mentioned in the article can be seen from our house.
4. The Airbus 380 at LAX. Here's an article from LA Times...I went down on Monday to see the plane at LAX (where it landed Monday morning)...you could see it from Imperial Highway, which runs along the south border of the airport. The jet was parked in a conspicuous place...there was still hundreds of people there when I arrived around 7:30 pm.
I was somewhat underwhelmed...I will take the 747 any day. Besides the fact that I don't like the design aesthetic of the Airbus 380 much, I do not want to be trying to get on or off a plane with 800 other people....
