My brother Jed posts interesting links on his blog, and some of them I like so much I just copy them here. (Thanks Jed!) So I know some of you have already seen on Jed's blog, but if you haven't, the following are worth a look:

1. Library Smut.

Btw, the title is a joke, this is an "office-safe" site and right up my alley. I really enjoy old libraries and have a picture of the interior of the Austrian National Library on my desk.

2. ChessBoxing.

I already sent this link as a new career suggestion to the Anonymous Hawk, who crushes me in chess...but I think we might be more evenly matched in boxing. (In part because neither of us box.)

3. Evolution, Schmevolution.

Anyone who thinks evolution is absurd should go watch a gorilla in the zoo for 30 minutes. It might at least put a kernel of doubt in their mind. "Why can't we all get along" on evolution? Seems that we could all agree that there has been some evolution, and all admit the possibility that some divine being may have "put the spark" into the mix by creating the lifeforms that we evolved from. Then I at least could just agree to disagree with people who believe the earth was created just a few thousand years ago, in seven days...then we could try to get back to teaching the really important stuff in schools. It's amazing how much time and energy goes into the debate about evolution/creationism being taught in schools, when we should be focused on readin', writin' and 'rithmetic. And some classes on creative stuff.
